What can be an alternative to using CareerBuilder to satisfy your mid-to-low level sourcing needs ??

CareerBuilder sent us a letter informing about a 100% increase in the yearly rental fee for the CareerBuilder accounts we use at Collabera Inc. We have 60 CareerBuilder accounts that we use for searching candidatures as well as posting jobs, now as a result of this rate increase we have decided to give-up all the accounts that we own at the end of April 2008.

Can someone suggest a similar job-board, we already use Monster, Dice, Hotjobs & Net-temps apart from CB...

Craigs list is good for junior jobs, but is not as robust as Careerbuilder. You may want to investigate JobFox, it was created by a former Careerbuilder executive. I have not used it, but it may be worth a look.
I use Craigslist and Linked In. LinkedIn can be pricey but I have had some great response and much better candidates from there as well. Most of the local college alumni associations will let you post for free and so will some Chambers of Commerce. I would also look into Yahoo Groups that are very niche specific and join and post there. I have recruited some great talent from my Yahoo groups alone.

try the CBCJobs suite, includes job search and applicant tracking

How about your local Dept. of Labor AKA...the unemployment office. I've used my state's website plenty of times and have found great candidates. I also send postings to local houses of worship, vocational schools, etc.
