JOB SUMMARY
The Recruiter is responsible for assisting the Talent Management & Effectiveness in the recruitment and hiring process for the hospital.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
1. Responsible for recruiting “hard-to-fill positions” (such as Managers, RNs, PT, etc.)
Retrieves applications/resumes utilizing applicant tracking system and other methods. Screens
Applications/resumes credentials and other identified criteria. Assists in the distribution of documents for department head to review. Identify qualified applicants and schedule interviews with appropriate Directors.
2. Interviews and screens job applicants to determine if their education, experience, skills, abilities, interests and personality matches the requirements of the job. Review and check references to substantiate dates of employment history.
3. Responds to and assists with applicant inquires.
4. Maintains the nursing scholarship program, as well as monitor the employee referral program, the nursing tuition loan payback program and the relocation program.
5. Provides statistics on a monthly basis in regards to recruiting and retention.
6. Conducts New Employee Orientation.
7. Assists in developing and implementing a recruitment advertising plan. Coordinates employment advertisement with advertising agency.
8. Partner with local Colleges and Universities to capture nursing student population, as well as other allied health majors.
9. Attends job fairs, diversity events, and special events (such as nursing open house) to support hospital vacancies.
10. Ensures compliance with EEO and AA regulations as required by State and Federal laws.
11. Monitor Foreign Nurse immigration process and coordinate deployment and temporary housing.
12. Oversee the job line to ensure recording is current.

JOB SPECIFICATION
1. Education: Bachelor's degree with course emphasis in Human Resources Administration or equivalent experience. Prefer PHR Certification.
2. Experience: Minimum of two years experience in Recruiting within a hospital environment using Applicant tracking systems. Intermediate MS office word/Excel/Outlook. Excellent Customer service skills.
3. Mental Demands: Must be able to funciton in a fast paced environment and think outside the box. Requires the ability to use logical and scientific thinking to interpret technical data and solve a broad range of problems. Requires the ability to use complex mathematical techniques to budget and provide productivity assessments. Requires the ability to interpret, adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions. Must be able to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and co-workers. Requires the ability to communicate verbally in writing and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
