Salaries of Recruiters and Account Managers

I know that salaries will vary depending on which state you live in as well as how the economy is going, but wanted to get an idea of what the ranges would be for someone in Dallas, Texas?

By the way, I have already gone to the various sites to calculate the approximates for both these fields. Just wondering if the averages are correct? I am finding that the low end for Recruiters with junior experience is typically around 37K up to 42K and for Account Managers the ranges are from 44K-52K

How much on or off target is it? i am not asking for anyone to reveal what they themselves are actually making, just asking for ranges here.

That's the ticket....ok, let's say that a persons base is what their experience merits and their commission is based on how well a person carries out the responsibilities.....then what is the base range in salary for those years of experience?

The amount of money you make depends on you. Some of the best recruiters are commission only and can make well over $100K per year. Do all recruiters make this, probably not. But, the service you provide to your clients will dictate repeat business and more jobs to fill. Obviously, a commission only position is very risky, however; the rewards are endless. Hello Amber, I am here in Dallas and that looks about right-spot on for the junior recruiters, however I have seen senior level account managers in the 60k range though (however it varies widely depending on the vertical, ie- IT, mortgage, healthcare, etc).....also much like the earlier responses depends largely on commission structure as well, but knowing the local market it looks like the averages are correct-but just a little higher on top end for senior account managers. You'd probably find this survey from The Fordyce Letter interesting. It is not city-specific, and it is from 2005, but it does have in-depth earnings data for recruiters.
