All right party people - want to promote some of your kick-ass ideas.
Here's the deal: we're working on pulling together a tips and tricks type ebook + podcasts and I'm looking for your best recruiting tricks.
I'm thinking things like...
This doesn't need to be a book - a paragraph is more than enough. Just post your strategy as a comment here. The best ones will be used for an upcoming eBook AND you'll have your chance to interview with our own Daniel Fogel for the new Recruitingdaily Podcast.
That's free branding, yo.

My best "trick" is hard work, lots of it. Lots of research, lots of diligence, lots of contacts. Never quitting. Being the most determined hard-nosed recruiter out there. That, and listening hard to candidates and clients, alike. Never listen to people who tell you what you can't do -- especially when you know you already have.
I'm currently using linked In.Social networks like LinkedIn have democratized recruiting, and suddenly everyone is accessible. Any recruiter can bulk buy LinkedIn In-Mails and send messages to anyone they want.
The Sidekick email extension has been a fantastic tool for me. Being able to see when prospective candidates have opened the email, how many times and the links they have clicked on provides excellent feedback.
I've had a number of occasions when I've seen my email be opened a few times but received no reply so I've followed up with a call. Usually the prospective candidate has been meaning to reply to me and is interested but hasn't quite found the time to do so or has been hesitant about replying. It saves time and allows me to track the effectiveness of my emails.
I am using data metrics, social media channels, responsive website for recruitment because social media is the good source of spreading news to everyone.Uni Roles is a very good website for job seekers. They offer a platform where you can browse jobs for Australian Universities. If anyone wants to search job then visit www.uniroles.com.au

I think I should say it: over the long-term, tricks don't work. There is nothing better than good karma and good dharma in the world of Recruiting, to keep getting both new business, and to satisfy existing Clients. You can't reduce recruitment to a "trick". That said, my best "trick" is to actually contact people who need my services, one way or another. You have to keep trying -- persistence counts for something, maybe everything.
I love using recruitment videos. I think they are an undervalued and overlooked asset for any business looking to recruit. Here's some more resources on it:
