Canadian Citizen Working in the U.S.

Does anyone know if the process for a Canadian citizen to move to the U.S. and work is fairly easy? I looked at some info regarding a TN visa and it seems pretty simple, but I wanted to see if anyone could tell me if they have been involved in this recently and how the process worked. The job qualifies as a NAFTA Professional Workers position.
