Being that our staffing initiatives are a bit slow at the moment our corporate recruiting team has become quite cross-functional. I love that I am learning a few new things and getting more involved, but recently got handed a project in which I have little experience.

We are currently examining ways in which we can effectively boost the percentage of diversity employees (females and diverse males) in the management level to match the cross-section of our employee ratios. One idea is a mentorship program, but we are looking for other creative ways to boost these numbers without incurring any major costs. This development will be done entirely with internal candidates with a focus on development and retention of diverse employees.

Any suggestions on programs of this nature or where to find some helpful information? Our kickoff meeting was just held and our initial proposal is due in one week!
