I am a small firm and find more and more of my time on these functions and less on actual recruiting. I am constantly being approached by firms.  I wanted to see if anyone has used any of these types of firms and their experiences. Please email me directly at roni@rlzapinassociates.com

I kind of feel the same in our office. But then I start thinking about what specifically would I outsource, do I want it to be done by an outside company, would it be better to maybe bring in an employee to do the stuff? So then I decide we just have to keep doing it ourselves. Sigh. (I think about this a lot when I have to write, post, and manage our job postings, lol!)

What have you looked into so far?

Emailed you Roni

Amber, I have been wrestling with the same things which is why I have been doing it all, but there are just not enough hours in the day and it is affecting the amount of deals I can close...  so I am forced to look at some options..   I don't need full-time help.. but I have spent countless $$ on "solutions" that don't work... and don't have time to train/hand hold either..

sounds like you need a social media savvy recruiting coordinator. But you can't have mine :)

Amy, Exactly..  Question for you.. is yours onsite or Virtual? full  or part time?   I'm thinking I need a Part time (that can be virtual) recruiting coordinator that is VERY social media savvy!!  Afraid of the avalanche of resumes I would get if I posted that!!

Have you considered intern? They are savvy with this and work for food

Roni she is onsite - handles all the administrative stuff from job postings to offer letters. Now that we're getting more involved with social media she's admin on our FB page, twitter, etc. She's the admin for Taleo too but I try not to bring that up. :) She supports 7 recruiters and 2 directors so a part time person or even intern like Ryan suggested might be a good start...

And yes you'd be BOMBARDED!! we posted a social media specialist and I am SHOCKED at the response... hey maybe I could send you a few....? :)

You could hire someone part-time. That wouldn't cost you too much and would help you quite a bit. You could consider a recent grad or someone in school focusing on hr or marketing that wants a good part-time job. They could handle all your job posting/admin stuff as well as help you source for candidates. I hired someone with this profile, a recent grad and our whole office was blown away by how quickly she learned all the computer stuff. Within a very short period of time, she knew our database better than we did!  So, your training time with a recent grad who is super savvy with internet/social stuff should be minimal and that will allow you to get more done.

The issue with outsourcing the work, especially the admin piece, is that you may find yourself spending more time than you'd like explaining what you want done and then waiting for it. But, that said, you can find some great help on places like elance.

I know what I want and what we all need and I am sure it exists but haven't a clue where to find it... An RS Feed from our website to all of our job boards and social media tools.  I post on several sites that then forward on to 20+ job boards as well as FB, LinkedIn and Twitter, however what I WANT to do is add ALL of the links to all of the sites I use (and could then use so many more) to the RS Feed and then all I have to do is post once to the website and it automatically RS Feeds it to all of the other links.  If it doesn't exist then somebody needs to invent it!  And if it does exist can somebody please enlighten me, pretty please :-)

In the event that this lovely tool doesn't exist then I am also deliberating about taking on help for these tasks.  Let us know how you get on Roni. x

take a look at Recruitics..  its a new product and may do this... as well as do SEO..  I'm testing it now..

There are many hats to wear at a small recruiting company (and I am part of one as well.) But, an Admin could be an intern; social media needs some qualifications, otherwise it just takes too much time; and sourcing would be best done by a skilled Sourcer. Some companies ask Admin Assistants to source, but it just can't be done this way (unless your matching candidates come up with simple searches on job boards). If you have a skilled Sourcer they would cost much more and would be bored doing admin functions.

My 2c

Thank you!  I am going to look now  :-)
