Some of the major job boards charge thousands of dollars for companies to post jobs and search for candidates. How do you get around spending a ton of money finding that right person?

There are hundreds of niche boards, professional groups have job listing sections that are either free or pay for contact at a very small fee.  Packages of job posts on major boards are a good buy without the license to seach the datatbase.  Linkedin groups specific to an industry or a certain verticle are free.  Lists of professionals are available online for most industries.  Zoom, or just a plain google search, free search tools are available all over the place.  Call somebody who does what you need, ask them for the names of three other people who do the same thing.

Do a google search for Free for Recruiters and see what you get.

Just a heads up. www.netshare.com has been around for over 19 years - we are a Niche site. It is a network of executives (the average is at around $$225K - $250K). Around 70% are employed. They are across the US and international. We stress long term career management and help with job search techniques. We also provide training in the digital world and web presence - our main emphasis has always been on networking. We do have a small job board where it has always been free to post positions provided they meet our parameters (#1 is they must have a guaranteed base minimum of $100K before any add ons). We are also happy to assist in searching our member database for difficult to fill positions). Your best contact is Cindy Reznick (cindy@netshare.com).

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
Go to the media/video section of this website and search for sourcing videos.  There are 2 people there who have a series of videos you should see regarding where to find people for free; Jim Stroud and Geoff Peterson.  They are excellent.  You don't have to spend anything if you follow their tips and tricks.
