I personally have had some very interesting counter-offer scenarios come about in the last few months. As a company, we provide stability (government contracting) for years, as well as all the full time benefits (benefits, 401k, salary, PTO, etc) however have been beaten out by counter-offers coming from staffing firms simply offering a few more dollars per hour. Candidates today are looking for the most they can make this minute vs. long term thinking (albeit they say stability ranks atop their list - their actions speak otherwise).
I would be interested in hearing about people are handling counter offers. Thanks for the suggestions.
