I haven't really thought about my future in recruiting lately due to all of the organizational changes around me. I guess I've been holding on to my seat hoping that I'm kicking butt enough for someone to recognize that I'm needed around here. I think so? At least the people I bring in to the organization seem to like me.

From back in the day to present times my recruiting efforts have dramatically changed. It went from only cruising through the major job boards to look for resumes to blogging and networking. Maybe in the future we will have those cool phones with cameras so you can see who you are talking to? Wait. That could lead to discrimination.

All I know at this moment in time is that organizations need us. Who is going to weed out the so-called "crazies" and continue to provide top talent to an organization without a lick of recognition? My future of recruiting will continue to roll with the flow, provide innovative strategies with whatever tools are out there, and bring in the best of the best. It's what I do.
