With so much upheaval and disruption in the market I often wonder what my future in recruiting will look like! The one pivotal difference is how networking/networks have impacted the landscape and continue to shape the future. More than anything else I see "collaboration" as the central piece. Away from the hierarchical Sloan Model to distributed heterogeneous networks that pervade the market today. There is a lot of talk, as has always been, about automation. Frankly I don't see the human touch/element going away anytime soon in spite of massive technological innovations.
There is also the fact that like many other segments affected by recent changes, recruiting is more local than ever with a full spectrum global reach. Human capital is at the core of major transformations that are in the making to chart the future there is however a necessary revolution (Peter Senge) that will shape the coming networks.
