I suppose I could probably write something for each letter that describes some of the things I don’t love about recruiting, but thinking about what I have come to love about it over the last few years reminded me to think about how fortunate I am to be a self-employed recruiter!
R is for the rare glimpses into so many different industries and companies.
E is for everything and everyone I been able to learn about.
C is for the clients who make placing great people a joy.
R is for the resumes that have given me laughter, hope, and new clients.
U is for the unusual situations and people that have made me stronger.
I is for the “impossible to fill” job orders that were filled.
T is for the time I can take off when I want to and schedule how I like.
I is for all the interesting people I have gotten to communicate with.
N is for nothing that comes easy, but is worth the effort.
G is for guidance given and received since I entered this profession.

Odes are a rare thing on the RBC, particularly ones that delve into the business of recruiting.

Thanks.
