I think recruiters work best from home, on their own time and all the time. The best way to do this is to work from home, how come there are barely any remote recruiting jobs out there?

Have you tried Randstad? They have several virtual recruiter opportunities, Pontoon also.

Many companies want you to have the close interaction with the Account Lead, or other recruiters in the office.  It's hard to share candidates, or ideas for that matter, when you are working alone at home.

I've worked both home and in the office.  It depends on the culture of the company, which would work best for them.

Thanks Kristine,

I am not looking at this time, but I have a few friends who are looking and they are so used to the work from home option but can't find anything! I will definitely pass this along, thank you!!

Thanks Linda, what I do to keep the culture up is I go in every Friday to the office and socialize with my colleagues then. There are no other recruiters in my office since they are all spread out across the US. I guess it makes sense when you work at a local firm, but when you work at a global or national firm it might not make that much sense anymore..

thank you!
