These are excellent techniques that I have used in the past. In regards to recruiting, I‘ve experienced irate hiring managers that were upset with the extensive hiring process that some corporations require (lost requisitions due to how many hands the req was passed to for approvals, waiting for final approval on the final offer, etc.). In order to maintain trust and a strong relationship, it was imperative to follow these guidelines. 99% of the time it had nothing to do with me and that is why I had to learn not to take it personal. We all have or will make an error(s) and when this did occur, it was imperative that I acknowledge what I had done wrong. I found that the hiring managers were more forgiving when I owned up to my mistake. I find that mistakes are usually made when the recruiter does not have much support and is trying to figure things out on their own. In these types of situations, it is almost impossible not to live and learn through your errors.
Thanks for the funny video and the words to remember Geoff!!
