If you didn't have the time and/or money to go to Vegas this week (and most people didn't these days - you're not alone!) there's stuff you can learn right where you are without leaving your desk - tune into May 19's FREE MagicMethod phone sourcing class on the
MagicMethod network.
Tomorrow's class will be on Bruce Lee's philosophy that too many martial art techniques are "complicated" - that the best approaches are "simple, direct and non-classical", reflecting the self.
I happen to believe many of today's names sourcing methodologies are way more complicated than they need to be and we'll be talking about how and why
knowing ourselves is so important in being a good names sourcer.
Lee believed that
“…quite a few systems of martial art accumulate "fanciness" that distorts and cramps their practitioners and distracts them from the actual reality of combat, which is simple and direct and non-classical. Instead of going immediately to the heart of things, flowery forms and artificial techniques (organized despair!) are ritually practiced to simulate actual combat. Thus, instead of being in combat, these practitioners are idealistically doing something about combat.”
I hope you can join us - Tuesday May 19 noon EST on the
MagicMethod network as we strip away the flowers and the artifice and get right to the meat of the matter - the effective use of the telephone by understanding how to communicate.

There’s also new content up
on the site I think you’ll enjoy. It includes:

He calls her Rothus. See how you’d call her.
"...what exactly it takes to get a decision maker to return a call."
A lot of people are complaining about unreturned calls/e-mails these days – see why.
