Topic: Please help me decide: which ATS, CRM to purchase: you can recommend any based on the following criteria: I’d prefer a desktop solution with mobile phone syncing capabilities(via usb or a web connection to my pc) and virtual backup/ access options rather than a 100% web based system. The idea of a 100% web based system where I have to log in to access my own business on somebody else’s server terrifies me. Full Dashboard to include, Candidate Tracking, Client Marketing & Management, Interviewing tabs Enabled for quick data migration and parsing, compatible with Broadlook, eGrabber or Autosearch Compatible with Windows 7 PC, Windows 7 Mobile or Android Mobile Outlook integration or a similar UI able to completely able to replace Outlook Excellent to “good” customer support and strong history (no sense learning to depend on software or a company that won’t be around in 3 yrs.) I am strongly considering the following: Maxhire Darwin I also like the look and apparent “feel” of : Cluen Big Biller Sendouts C-Biz Gopher Darwin, C-Biz, Big Biller, and Gopher all have free trials but I don’t have the time to download and test them all. Topic: Best ATS for Independent Recruiters / small agencies?: a recent thread on this but I couldn't find it. And if that's the case then maybe I should chose a different profession ;) So at the risk of public humility and ridicule I'm going to ask this question again. :) I'm interested in what ATS platforms are being used for independent recruiters or small agencies. I've been demo'ing Workable, Zoho Recruit, Recruitee, iKrut, and Lever and while they seem to be the cool guys on the block with their sexy UI's and such they're not quite suited for independent heads like myself. They all offer slick one click posting features and candidate tracking along a pipeline, but what is missing is the ability to populate a database and pipeline candidates for future positions. Now any of the sales guys from any of the above systems will debate this. They will tell you that you need to create a job called "database" and then populate that. What sucks about that is that their pricing model is based on the number of roles (jobs slots) that you're working on. So with Workable if you chose their 3 job slot monthly program, one of the job slots will always be used as a database. Which I suppose isn't the end of the world but it's definitely not ideal. I'm also working on a lot of confidential roles that really don't support postings but do require associating candidates to a position(s). My other requirements are that it be cloud based, integrate with outlook, and be fairly affordable. I'd also love to keep it under 100/month. And maybe have an iphone / android support. "How about you interview this guy and let me know if he is as good as he tells me he is." Very seldom does my IT hiring manager decline the opportunity to smack a hot shot upside the head. If the guy really is good even half as good as he thinks he is he gets the job. I normally get a call back with my client telling me that no he does not walk on water but the HM thinks he can put him on the top team and make something out of him. Works for me. I dont' want to drink a beer with either one of them but they sure come in handy when my systems blow up and i can call one of them and say , help me, help me. they know that much past the start button on the computer i am a recruiter and not a techie. It gets to be a point of honor that they can say, "My recruiter just blew up her system again, she probably deleted the operating system, i'll see you guys in an hour, gotta go bail her out."
