She Looked Great

She looked great. Her hair, jet black, long and straight, it went down to the small of her back. She was tall and lean, with a body that had been sculpted over hours and hours at the gym. When she walked into a room, all eyes found their way to her. She could talk at length about shoes and celebrity gossip, but sadly, that was all.…

A Giddy Gander

Staring out across the frozen tundra that is Martelle in January, I began to apply layers of clothing to my frame, as protection against the bitterness. This, like many of my missives, is a complete exaggeration, it is actually around 25 degrees and not bitter at all. A picture is worth 1000...

If a picture is worth 1000 words, then what does a poorly lit, slightly blurry, badly cropped, taken with a camera phone image say about a networker? I think that in most cases it probably says, “I am new to social networking and am just trying to figure this out. It was the only one I had, and I was trying to build my profile while keeping the kids from shaving the cat with my husband’s electric razor” But I am an optimist and willing to give a person the benefit of the doubt. There is another… Continue
