Business as usual?

It would seem to me that now would be a very good time for companies to carry on as if it was business as usual. Other than some cost containment and fewer people around, what has really changed? Organizations must continue to move forward with their strategic plans (albeit somewhat modified) and they should always include looking the skill sets you have today versus the skill sets you'll need tomorrow and get a talent plan in place that will address these needs in a timely manner.

BIWO - Talent Inventory Control

We're all reading about massive layoffs and cost cutting measures but are companies really getting it right? I don't think so. It seems that HR Leadership (oxymoron?) is still making the "easy" decision regarding their talent inventory, that being Last In First Out (LIFO). Severance packages will be less and they don't have to deal with uncomfortable dismissal discussions with tenured employees. Looking for US based Medical Device recruiters

This really isn't a blog entry, it's more of a help me help a friend out. He is a senior exec with a medical device company and he is looking to hire about 10 people in the next year and wanted to partner with one or two niche firms.
