This is my first ever blog on recruiting blogs.
My name is AJ and I am a recruiter that is based in the Philippines, I have been working for the past 2 years for a recruiting firm based on the East Coast.
Last week I started looking around here and found rock star recruiting it has got us thinking into focusing on split deals. Here in this office we have recruiters that do very good in searching for top notch candidates all over the US. No matter what the industry all we need is a good description, salary range, location and we are off. We have employees that know what to do and what to say and where to look and even though they may not know how it works we have managers who do.
Our downside is that we work for clients that pay us per month not per placement, we are working in a environment that has award for good work, half the time our clients don't even let us know if we are on the right track or not. Half of our clients do not even know the true concept of outsourcing this resulting in the loss of our clients due to wrong expectations.
With split deals we see a future, no obligations, no commitments just a payment if we find the right people at the right time for the right positions. We won't lose clients because in the first place we won't have any to lose.
The risk for us on this side of the world would be that because we get nothing if we don't get any right people, it could end up disastrous for my company. But who cares, I know this will work, I have to have that rockstar attitude about this and dive in.
