The Face of Recruiting Today
We found that contract and temporary staffing are hot in 2012 (temp staffing has doubled from 2009 to 2012). Business, computers, and healthcare are the top three industries for recruiting and staffing firms. And our report also shows that time and process management, client management, and finding quality candidates to be the top three obstacles recruiting and staffing firms face today.
64% of the recruiting and staffing firms we surveyed work at companies with 1 to 10 recruiters and salespeople. So what's keeping the majority of recruiting firms from breaking out of that 1 to 10 employee range? Survey results suggest that a defined recruiting workflow separates smaller firms from the industry giants.
Metrics Matter
83% of respondents said that metrics help them to excel at work. We broke down benchmarks for the most common recruiting metrics:
Marketing Call Effectiveness, Job Order Coverage, Job Order Response Time, Quality of Candidates Submitted, Quality of Candidates Interviewed, Quality of Hire/Contractor, Fill Ratio, and Time to Fill.
Curious about how you measure up, or wondering what responsibilities and obstacles recruiters are tackling in 2012?
