4 Signs Your Struggling Company Could Use Some IT Professionals

If your company is struggling to stay afloat, there may be a number of reasons for it. But something you might not have considered is the role effective IT professionals and services can play in helping get your company out of the doldrums. If any of the following things are happening at your company, you need to start shopping around for IT solutions.

1. You're Still Using Outdated Tech

If your software is more than a few years old, or worse, if you're still running software and operating systems that are no longer supported, like Windows XP, your business is badly in need of an upgrade. IT professionals will be able to look at your business operations and suggest the best upgrades for you.

2. You're Being Distracted by Computer Problems

If you and your employees are constantly dogged by computer problems and you regularly have to take time out of your work day to fix them, you need to get some IT support on board. Ottawa managed services professionals and those in your particular area can troubleshoot and fix computer issues much faster and better than you can if you don’t have the proper background, and the more time you or your employees spend trying to fix these issues, the less time you have to actually work and bill clients.

3. All Your Business Data is Sitting on a Hard Drive in Your Office

If the entirety of your company's data is sitting on a hard drive in your office, or worse, on a single computer, you'll want to hire an IT specialist to set up some form of data backup. Cloud technology is one way to go, where all of your data is backed up automatically into the cloud, but you can also backup your data on secure servers maintained by your IT support company.

4. Your Business Isn't Online Yet

If your business does not have a website or web presence at all, you will need to get that set up and properly maintained. Especially if you sell physical product, you will need an IT professional to maintain the system that keeps your e-commerce site open for business. Downtime will result in lost sales. But by not having an e-commerce site at all, your business will very likely suffer further financial loss.

If your company is struggling and any of the signs above are present, it would be in the best interest of your business, your employees and you personally to invest in IT services. Whether you hire a dedicated IT professional on your staff or hire an IT support service, it's something you absolutely must look into and consider.
