Help! Legal recruiting assistance needed..Environmental Litigation Attorney

I am currently seeking an experienced Environmental Litigation Attorney for a in-house position in Chicago. They will pay for relocation. HOT JOB!!!!

Job Description:
Senior responsibility for all environmental and environment-related law advice and counseling and for all legal representation in environmental and environment-related disputes or matters brought in federal, state and local courts and agencies, and with respect to all media (air, water, land), including:
- be responsible for advising corporate executives and managers, concerning the interpretation of environmental laws and regulations,
- handle or manage the handling of retention and management of outside counsel as needed,
- provide advice regarding proposed new environmental laws and regulations
- work with Environmental Affairs staff in formulating and implementing global environmental initiatives, and provide advice regarding U.S. laws, regulations and practices,
- handle environmental law matters relating to corporate or asset transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions,
- work with Public Affairs and Communications functions regarding policies and compliance with environmental and environment-related laws and regulations, and

Also, provide legal advice and assistance in general real estate matters as may be necessary.

The senior environmental counsel will be expected to do as much legal work as possible in-house, and will retain and manage outside counsel as necessary.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum/Basic Requirements:
10 – 15 years experience in environmental law at a law firm or corporate legal department, including experience handling environmental litigation and claims and providing advice and counsel to corporate managers for all aspects of environmental or environment-related issues.


Preferred Requirements:
Experience as set forth above, plus experience in a federal or state environmental enforcement agency; corporate legal department experience with a Fortune 500 company; experience in general real estate matters.


Education Requirements:

Minimum/Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and JD.


Preferred Requirements:
Science or engineering degree relating to environmental field.

Other Requirements:
License to practice law in any state.
