I have the option to work from home 2 days a week. Is working from home really the best idea? Not for me. Look, I have two daughters aged 1 and 2 years old and they keep me crazy-whoops I mean busy. Even though we have an au pair, I can still hear the child noises and it is distracting. I sort of want to play with them but then again I don't. Ahh, the dilemmas of being a working mom.

I view going into the office as a "vacation." I have been known to road rage in my pre-kid days. But now, even the drive into work is relaxing. I look forward to getting dressed up, going to see people who don't ask me to change their diaper and making decisions that don't involve crackers or cartoons. I also love my office work environment. It is fast paced and competitive, but we have a lot of fun together. I love to overhear my colleagues interaction with candidates and clients. It gives me good ideas of what to or not to do in situations. Besides, when would I have time to blog?

I have worked from home since 1989. I wouldn't trade it for anything. But then again I don't have kids.
