Checking in on my train ride home - this will be another one of my 30 min blog ideas. My 'train' of thought is that if it takes me longer than my train ride home to come up with something to write and get it posted - it must not be what I should be blogging about. That said, the RecruiterGuy rant today is more of an informational pitstop for active and passive job seekers.
Today on Talent Network a discussion thread was started that asks job seekers (both those that are looking and those that don't realize they could be) just where they've got their resume is posted - or at least where it should be posted.
You see, I get at least one or two requests a week asking what job boards I think are the best. Of course my initial response is always, "Best for what kind of work?" To which we usually go down a path that many job seekers haven't traveled... the road to niche boards.
The discussion thread starts with the listing of a few boards related to looking for employment as a teacher. This is the result of my receiving two emails this week specifically from teachers looking for a change or simple advice in landing a new gig. Check out the posting and feel free to contribute in the form of additional niche boards or any type of boards you might be find useful.
