So I am updated to Firefox 3.0 and with the exception of signature all of my favorite add-ons have been updated. It is these add-ons that make my life as a sourcer much easier. So below I have listed the addons I use and what they do for me.

Google Toolbar - Besides the search and the Google dog food here are what I believe to be the best reasons to use it. The site search button - you find a site that you want to explore. Instead of typing out site:webaddress.com you just press the button and it does it for you. The next button I like is "up one level". Instead of going to the address bar and hassling with highlighting and deleting to the next hash mark to peal back, you just press the button and it does it for you. Then there is also the highlight feature, which highlights the key words. I will often type in key words in the tool bar to highlight words I am looking for the resumes I find on job boards. The last thing I will go over is in options you can select to have word, text, etc. documents automatically loaded into Google Docs, which is great for compiling a data base of resumes that you can use later (does not work with docs loaded from job boards).

Who is this? - Anyone who uses Firefox for sourcing probably already has this. It allows you to highlight a name and search for that name on LinkedIn, Wikipedia, Facebook, Myspace, etc...

The Advanced URL builder - Allows you to create searches like Who is this? on other sites not supported. I have also used it to name search on web based ATSs.

Tamper Data - Helps me to build the search data I need for Advanced URL builder.

Clippings - My replacement for Signature which allows me to store templates for sending InMails, and email to people who only allow you to contact them through their web page.

These are the things I use to automate and make my sourcing more efficient. Let me know what tools you use.

Steve, nice post.

Have you played with any of these add-ons...
UrlParams
URL Flipper
...if so, what do you think.

Also, not an add-on but great to have in the toolbar, Snip!. Better than shortening URLs it keeps a log which you can download to an excel spreadsheet. If you're zipping through resumes/results to follow up on later, or you need to forward this data as a file, you might find this to be a quick and clean solution.
