Successful Applicants Have High Levels of Testosterone and a Good Morning Workout Plan

An interesting article came out in April about the direct relationship to high levels of testosterone and making money in the day trader profession. The day traders daily world revolves around uncertainty, high-risk, overwhelming information, reliance on instinct, and the having full knowledge that a decision can lead to euphoric wins or catastrophic losses… kinda like a recruiter.

Your morning workout is helping more than just your figure
Being someone that had the gangly figure of a 12 year old girl through high school (Read my bio, I’m male, so this wasn’t good), having an exercise program that does more than get my heart rate up has been paramount, but this type of workout might have other incentives as well: one of the best ways to increase your testosterone levels is through a good workout. Now, I am not talking about the walk on the treadmill as you watch a rerun of Oprah or the View workout, but a 100% focused, hihg-energy expedition into the world of exercise – like the rush of jumping into the deep-end of a cold pool for the first time. Here are 10 very helpful tips on the types of workouts to do: So does this mean I can make my gym membership a business expense?

Supplement what God has given you
“Ken Goldberg M.D. of the Male Health Center in Dallas states between 8-12 million men have low or borderline low testosterone levels and 95% of them don't know it.” This is a scary fact if you are in a profession that requires you to risk picking up that phone 50 times a day. Seriously, if you find yourself more adverse to risk this year over last or the year before, go see a doctor and get your testosterone levels checked. There are many healthy, over-the-counter supplements as well, but with all supplements, their effectiveness is disputed by believers and cynics. You might be able to get a doctor’s note for poor 3rdquarter performance as well, but I wouldn’t count on it. I'm not a doctor, but you probably shouldn't use supplements until you have tried the workout option - just good common sense.

Risk Intoxication
Just remember, as important as a healthy bit of risk taking is, it can become an addiction (watch the World Poker Championship sometime). Remember, always use your testosterone responsibly :)

Other Known Benefits of Increased Testosterone Levels
  • Increase your muscle mass
  • Enhance your ability to burn fat
  • Improve your libido
  • Improve your ability to cope with stress
  • Improve your memory, concentration and visual acuity
  • Protect you from heart disease
  • Protect your prostate

I agree here - there's nothing like the feeling of recruiting after an explosive workout. I'm not talking flyes on the pec-deck . . . I'm talking power cleans and deadlifts at 5am . . . when the 'normal person' is snoring away :)

Testosterone and the accompanying endorphin release are when we are at our best . . . not only in recruiting, but everywhere. Great energy is contagious :)
