Super Recruiter, Dave Staats smacks him back:

It just ‘feels’ like the introduction was written by someone who has not done any recruiting.... I know at least 74 other recruiters.... who could have made the same video.... I have no idea who Jim might be referring to in his “Knights” comment.

Ding, Ding!
The funny thing is that the content of the video is entry-level exec recruiter training. To Dave's point, the 'interviewer' may have posed Headhunter 101 questions, meaning they apparently really haven't recruited before! In my estimation, the Pinnacle Society is made up of Big Billers who are having very different conversations than these. I don't know how to become a part of the PS, but I've heard you have to bill $150 million USD over a 4-mth run.

In my estimation, the "Knights" he's referring to are PS members . . . but these Knights are actually helping one another and those of us trying to bill bigger . . . not sell bunk. And truthfully, being a great headhunter is about sticking to the basics (the fundamentals) . . . the game is won and lost in the trenches, blocking and tackling.

I've said this before, but the late Mike Mentzner taught me a profound business lesson: "The best health supplement in the world is water, but you won't hear about that much because you can't buy it out of the back of a magazine."

Are you saying that my calling a spade a spade isn't really a spade? I see Jesse Jackson's been giving back peddling lessons ;) The line "And Dave Staats smacks him back" says it all. That's not tossing a little bit of gas-O-line on the fire?

Call me crazy, but I thought the point of the post was to push a video. I mean, there is a big old video box there with a play button. And Dave basically summarized that the video was recruiting 101 with an intro by a non-recruiter.

I've never seen you post my whole name - you got me on that one. It would almost make it seem that we'd never spoken before.
