Urgent need for Loss Mitigation Specialists Nationwide......

New FNMA req (Loss Mitigation - 20426) This requirement has upwards of 25 openings and they are looking to pull people in IMMEDIATELY. Qualified candidates will have 8-10 years of experience in mortgage. There will be MANY MULTIPLE locations, and they are listed in the req too. They would like for us to specify if there are certain locations they are interested in. FNMA IS WILLING to cover some relocation expenses because this will not be a very long term project, 3-6 months. Phone interviews will be fine.

They have emphasized this is “THE MOST CRITICAL PROJECT” at Fannie right now, and that placing people in this would “help us in our future placements with Fannie”

JOB SUMMARY

Section 1: Overview of Job
Briefly (in two or three sentences) state the core purpose of this job below; include some detail about the specific task requirements/job duties of this job and where/how it fits into the larger department or organization.
Responsible for minimizing incidents of default by pursuing alternatives to foreclosure. Approves loss mitigation cases for non-delegated servicers and works with delegated servicers to resolve difficult cases.


Section II: Key Job Functions & Duties
List the main 5 to 7 job functions of this position in order of importance, starting with most important through least important. • Serve as back fill for call center response for loss mitigation issues
• Responsible for back-up for review and approval of all non-delegated loss mitigation cases and will serve as loss mitigation escalation point in the Servicing Support Center
• Responsible for outbound pro-active pursuit of loss mitigation cases from servicers , including Laser rejects, delayed closing of cases, case updates or corrections and supplemental claim requests
• May develop and/or provide training to servicers
• Responsible for processing delegated loss mitigation cases resulting from system constraints


Some additional points (Key functions and Duties) -
• Responsible for review of pre-foreclosure and pre-foreclosure referral cases pursuant to a standard review program at specific servicer locations
• Responsible for review of (delegated) declined loss mitigation cases to determine if all appropriate facts and loss mitigation options/programs were considered by the servicer
• Responsible for direct input to FNM loss mitigation systems/processes at specific servicer locations
• Responsible for researching validity of all loan reclasses (MBS to Cash)
• Responsible for post closing activity on loss mitigation options/programs
Section III: Qualifications
List 5 to 7 specific, job related requirements and/or preferences, such as years/type of experience, degrees, certifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities (including technical, professional and management skills).
• Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• 3 – 5+ years experience in loss mitigation or related field with specific knowledge about loss mitigation options.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) and ability to partner with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Demonstrated knowledge related to risk mitigation including some financial analysis.
• Must exhibit a strong sense of urgency about solving problems, meeting challenging deadlines, and achieving goals.
• May be called upon to evaluate servicers’ operational compliance and/or operational strength.

Did you find individuals for these positions? I have a mortgage background and contacts throughout the U.S. Are they paying for contractors or local talent only?
