As I was preparing for my upcoming week, I got an email that made my world. My very first dream candidate has materialized before my virtual eyes.

This candidate isn't a dream candidate because he attended a top 15 law school. He isn't a dream candidate because he graduated from this top law school with excellent grades. Nor is he a wonderful candidate because he went to work for one of the most prestigous law firms in New York. Although the credentials are enough to make most recruiters smile with glee, it's not his credentials that has me all giddy.

This wonderful candidate emailed me a spreadsheet that included the name and city of all of the law firms that his resume had already been submitted to. Yes, you read that correctly. An actual spreadsheet. However, that wasn't just it. He included the dates that his resume was submitted to the firms. No your eyes are not deceiving you. This unbelievable candidate sent me a spreadsheet that included names, locations and dates for all of the law firms that had received his resume. Truly unbelievable.

Needless to say, I am excited to start my week and trying to place this candidate. He will never know how much easier he just made my job. Words cannot express my gratitude.

You know what? I think I feel another blog coming on. A blog directed to the candidates that simply explains how they can help us help them. This one model candidate has inspired me! I will make sure to post that blog here when I finish it.

Happy Recruiting This Week Everyone!
