Cyber-Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Lead
Tandel Systems & Aerodyne Industries is recruiting for a unique opportunity that blends Computer Network Defense, counter intelligence, and law enforcement disciplines.
As the Cyber-Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) expert the primary responsibility will be identifying weaknesses and ‘leakages’ of information across all disciplines, particularly in the cyber and/or wireless spectrums. This includes assessing computer networks at the basic, physical, and logical level to detect covert channels as permitted by their organization’s security policies. Our Cyber TSCM will collaborate with and support key Service-led OPSEC working groups, benchmarking new TTP’s from Service programs and will glean its own TTP’s via mimicking adversary intelligence. Additionally, while performing electromagnetic/radio frequency (EM/RF) inspection, airwaves in and around a facility, program or operation will be surveyed to support detection of ‘leaking’ wireless network devices (testing protocols to include Bluetooth, 802.15 Wireless Personal Area Network, or free space optical, such as infrared local area network) - TEMPEST.
Multi-disciplinary OPSEC surveys will incorporate key network-based and Cyber-Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) capabilities to assess the customer’s operational ‘footprint’. Additional responsibilities will include:
•Develop OPSEC Operations/Network TSCM Strategy
•Conduct multi-disciplined OPSEC operations protecting key programs
•Validate the Critical Information List annually
•Participate in DoD-led OPSEC Ops/Network TSCM exercises
•Incorporate lessons learned into Cyber Awareness training
•Conduct review of host security, login, web, IDS, firewall, IPS, domain logs
•Conduct web analysis (digital OPSEC evaluation – OSE)
Education/Experience: 10 + yrs of applicable experience to include having worked in the Cyber CI/LE, cyber threat fusion, or cyber security fields providing either investigative, operational or analytical support. Bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational requirement. Applicable Master’s degree preferred. Information Assurance forensics experience will be needed. Candidates with Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), and OPSEC/red team training will be given preference. Cyber-TSCM expertise will be used to augment OPSEC Operations to provide a multi-disciplined cyber approach to surveys.
Professional affiliations with the OPSEC and TSCM communities are expected in order to effectively collaborate:
•National Technical Support Working Group (TSWG)
•Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS)
•Interagency Training Center (ITC)
•National Integrated TSCM Committee (NITC)
