Numara System Manager - Rates must be all-inclusive

Numara System Manager: We are looking for an Technical Consultant to support the Numara FootPrints8 CIRT incident management system as part of our IT consulting work.



Job Description

Will be involved with the strategy, design, transition, operation and maintenance phases of the Census CIRT incident management system based on Numara Software’s Footprints product version 8
Will design, develop and support the user and help desk support interface to the FootPrints system
Will review existing system and long range planning documents and make recommendations for information needs including configuration of features of Footprints
Provide operations support including hardware configuration, operating system management, database administration, software maintenance, system monitoring, initiating changes and enhancements to the current help desk software (Footprints)
Develop software, technical and user level documentation as well as document design guidelines and technical specifications as part of the overall documentation effort and reference
Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), software manuals, changes and enhancements
Use CMDB and CMS for providing tracking and trend analysis, and ongoing information reporting and maintenance
Will provide on-call support for system


Required Experience:

Experience required in RedHat Linux
Experience with design, configuration and management of relational databases based on MySQL server and Apache web server
Somewhat Required:
Perl, HTML, XML, Microsoft Active Directory and Visual Basic Scripting (VBS)
Would be a plus
Experience in development, customization and administration of a service desk management system such as Numara Footprints, BMC Remedy Service Management,
HP OpenView Service Desk or CA Unicenter Service Desk
Some experience with programming in ASP
Some understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) fundamentals
Ability to work with a dispersed group of IT specialists to coordinate development and customization of an Information Technology System
