Reputation management: Tooling-up recruiters

According to London-based monitoring service Reputica:

The long arm of the social web has moved far beyond the Facebook generation in affecting a candidate’s chances of landing their ideal job. As a result, Executive Search firms performing high profile candidate searches - typically main board positions, Chairmen and CEOs – need to be looking further than their usual background checks.

“Reputations are no longer made in traditional media,” says Andrew Jordan, Chairman of Reputica, an online reputation tracking and reporting company. “You can no longer rely on press cuttings to give you a whole picture of a person”. The company recently launched a new product as part of its reputation management service, aimed at giving Executive Search firms a much deeper understanding of their potential candidates.
