A new twist: peer-to-peer job search community

On the Radar: Thursday, November 15th, 2007

TugLink.com launches with this to say about why:

TugLink.com is an online peer-to-peer job search community where members help each other land interviews for desired jobs. The name TugLink is meant to imply that company insiders help candidates get “linked” with jobs they desire by giving them a “tug”, or a helping hand, and guiding them along the way.

Employee referral is employers' preferred recruitment channel and a job search method most favored by candidates. However, until now companies had no steady stream of candidates referred by employees, and candidates had very limited connections with insiders. We’ve created a platform – a new powerful job search and recruitment tool – with all the necessary privacy measures, financial incentives, and maximum freedom of choice.

TugLink.com is the first of its kind job referral marketplace. Here, Candidates can receive referrals from Insiders, while Insiders can get rewarded for their assistance through referral bonuses which range anywhere from $10 US Dollars to ¥100,000 Japanese Yen depending on the country, company size, and other factors.
