I would like to know the major differences between this and HireVue and other such companies. I received a call froma guy in Toronto who is selling something similar as well.

I think this year there will be lots of new and interesting things launched. It's nice to see active members of the recruiting blogosphere getting involved with this.

Good Luck Carl. I remember that phone call.

Hey JD, thanks very much for the mention.

Of course I'm not familiar with all the products that are out there now nor the ones that are soon to be launching, but I do have some familiarity with HireVue.

There are a lot of differentiators IMHO, but some of the simple ones are are technology platform upon which the Interview on Demand is built, the management team that we have put together along with our backgrounds, and our product modules -- in terms of the market segments that they address (stay tuned in January) with specifically tailored offerings that address all segments of the groups that are touched by the hiring process.

As time passes, I think the product and company differentiation will become more apparent to outside observers.

And as you know, a rising tide raises all boats, so we at Interview on Demand are looking forward to hearing a lot more about HireVue and video interviewing in the news.

Ami have you considered an easier to read color scheme? As much as I love to read your writings, my eyes kill after each experience becaue of the black/gray font color of letters

Dave, the layout and color scheme of this blog is the result of extensive market research and meets the minimum requirements for an eco-friendly blog.

Personally, I hate the layout too. I think the color scheme is ugly and it pains me to have to succumb to popular tastes and a handful of environmentalist crazies. I would rather just please myself -- and you of course!

Try this as an alternative layout and let me know if it works for you. Its a pretty standard theme.

BTW - congrats on your recent HireAbility Awards - Best Recruitment Blog of 2007 recognition...well deserved.

Carl, good luck with your new venture! You are officially "on the radar."
