Passive Candidate Engine: Turbo-charged search

On the Radar: Friday, March 21th, 2008

Miles Jennings who manages the Ning community TalentBar: HR and Recruiting Networking Group has got a powerful tool discretely buried on the sidebar:

We recently added a capability for passive candidate search on TalentBar. Using this search, you can easily search through the Internet and find resumes according to keywords, locations, etc... It emphasizes resume topics and sites, so much of the work is automated for you. It's a great tool to find passive candidates, "purple squirrel" technology skills, and specific companies and/or schools.

Just go to www.talentbar.com and then look down to the third box on your right. There is a link there for Passive Candidate Search. Follow that link and then enter in some keywords, locations, etc. Priority is given to the ones that you list first. Above your search results, there are buttons titled "Word Docs," "PDF," "Linkedin," etc... Try these search refinements after you get your results.

Hours of fun and so easy to forget, we're supposed to be engaging this talent too!
