Okay, so I just did the "regular" thing. I cross posted the latest posting from the FRACAT Blog to my blog here.

I know that'll probably get some additional traffic and visibility. And I know that's what a lot of you are doing, too.

But I'm looking at the possibility of spending significant time on RecruitingBlogs (I just changed my color scheme, after all) and I want to get the most out of this community that I can.

Tell me, oh great and wise RecruitingBlogs community, what else can I do to get the most out of my time here?

What things are you doing?

Oh - and is there a "Ning Tutorial" or something that tells me about all of the swell features, what they actually do, and how to change them?

Thanks for your help!

Hi dan, Here is a link to Ning Help http://www.recruitingblogs.com/main/admin/customization if that does not work, let me know.

I am happy you asked this question.

You should definately have a look at amitai givertz's profile. he has done a grat job in integrating this into his business. I know he would be interested in sharing more with you but essentially, he is creating a centralized place that has all his efforts. His clients can then use it as a springboard into his business and interests.

Others like the Recruiting Animal use the system to recruit people to his regular site and his radio show. he has put a link to his last show in the chat box on his site.

Because almost everything now on the web can be reduced ( or expanded depending on how you look at it) to a widget, you can put almost anything you want into your own chat box on your own page. Things like current searches you are working on or any kind of project you want to share or get some help with.

There are currently 284 members here and once this number is much higher and I hope it gets much higher, there will be more people with similar interests. You can start a group like I have for domain names or like Paul has for Linked In or like Amy beth hale has for research.

Right now, there seems to be a premium on the social side of the recruiting business. Most of the people here are involved in that industry. I have met quite a few people I did not know before and I am enjoying the process.

For RecruitingBlogs.com to become firmly rooted in the industry, there will need to be other things implemented and I think about little else these days. It drives my wife a little crazy but that is life.

It reminds me of something that John Sumser has told me time and time again and that is for something like this to be successful, the members need to get more out of it than they put in. I should put a poll up to see if this network feels that way.

I hope others chime in here to help you out with what you are asking.
