I have been visiting RBC on a regular basis for about 8 months now. Today, I had the occasion to use a service that I was introduced to via the network here. And then I realized there were quite a few things that the community here has brought to me, and how thankful I am that there have been so many willing to share.

Blogs, posts, and comments: A bunch of "regular" participants on here have brought knowledge, encouragement, and LAUGHTER! Sandra, Amy, Rayanne, the 2 Bills, Jerry, even C.B., and many others. And also the other "newbies" - your honesty and bravery in asking questions has helped me gain useful info and encouragement.

Jerry Albright: Wonderful person to share his recruiting form library, and also thanks for the individual advice and being a sounding board.

Gordon Basichis: Provides great background and employment screening service at The Corra Group. Helpful, simple, and quick response to my call for help!

Sandra: Thank you for mentioning Gordon at The Corra Group when I posted the question. And, of course, being one the people who provide great advice AND laughter here.

So, maybe not really of interest to a lot of people, but I really feel grateful for finding RBC. I hope I am able to "give back" to some of the people here.

Amber - this post made my weekend! Thank you for sharing your feedback. Like you- I have learned and shared a laugh from all the names you mentioned. I was for years a lurker and regular reader of the RBC. That of course changed in July when I became more directly involved, but what prompted that move was how valuable I viewed this community. As a recruiter- I of course feel I go about running my desk the best way that works for me, but I would be foolish to not be open to at least listening to the ideas of others. The RBC has always helped me in that area. It is good at times to know you are not the only one in the trenches, the only one dealing with obstacles, and the only one that wants to do the 'right thing' when it comes to making placements. That is the beauty and real value of the RBC, and I take my responsibilities quite seriously in trying to preserve that and welcome others into the mix. Have a great weekend and thank you for sharing this. I am sure all that you mentioned will be appreciative as well.

Thanks to you Amber. I was delighted when you put your gorgeous pic up. For the longest time I thought you were a water lily. :)

@ Sandra - I finally put the picture on LinkedIn and Skype accounts, too. It felt strange to be "out" there for a bit, but figured it was better then staying anonymous if you're going to be on social sites!
