A picture is worth a thousand words

This cool service was launched in June 2011 but I’ve only just stumbled across it.

If you’re in the process of putting your CV together and fancy getting a bit adventurous (or if you’re not and you just have some time to kill) you might be interested in what vizualize.me has to offer.

All you need to do is have a Linkedin profile and vizualize.me will turn your details into a rather snazzy infographic version of your CV.

Obviously, put something like this in front of me and I can’t resist the temptation to have a play.

I’m not sure this will catch on with the more conservative professions in the more reserved sectors out there but where creativity is highly desired something like this could really help you stand out from the crowd.

It’s not perfect but check out my dodgy attempt here:

Go on.  You know you want a go.

Hey Ben - hope you are well. Jon Prete posted about this earlier today - Use LinkedIn to visualize your resume on Facebook.

What's your take? Think this is something job seekers might actually gravitate towards? I wonder what ATS vendor will be first to be able to parse these type of visual CVs.

Hiya Tim. Not sure to be honest. I think you raise a very important point. ATS compatability is going to be a major issue. As said in the post, for creative folks e.g. in PR, advertising or marketing etc it could be something they run with. An accountant in Oil & Gas? Hmmm, I'm not so sure.

I wasn't taking it too seriously really. It's a good way to pass an hour though if you have a spare one lying around. Consider it as more of a Fun Friday post :-)
