Do you remember what you had for breakfast yesterday? What about lunch? These are little things and you may or may not remember the answers to these two questions.

Now, do you remember your first car? Your first date? The birth of your first child? These are big things and will have a lasting footprint on your life. How do we make ourselves so BIG, so memorable to people around us. Here are few ideas;

1. Differentiation: Separate yourself from competitors. If they are doing it, do it better. Easy, right? No!! Be a wealth of knowledge and provide more than just "a service", be of service.

2. Honesty: Always be upfront with customers, end users and decision makers. I had a recruiter today, that received an email from a candidate, he thanked her for her honesty and stated that her candid response to the lack of feedback from our client was unparalleled. He also stated he would think of her first and refer her to all his friends!

3. Wear Big Shoes: Yes, leave a lasting impression with your footprint. Everything you do, say, type or write is a footprint (especially in today's internet age). Attempt to impact your audiences lives, walk a mile in their shoes and understand their needs!

Now go forth, blog away, build networks and make an impact. Attempt to do something everyday that leaves a big and lasting footprint. Go and make memories!
