Many people that has online businesses might have heard about the ddos, and the fact that it can have a negative effect on any business. The ddos is illegal, but people are still using it to manipulate the Internet and to make it crash with too much traffic. But, what exactly is the ddos, and why are people still using it, even if it’s illegal?

What exactly is ddos?

The first thing that you need to know is what ddos stands for. Ddos actually means Distributed Denial of Service.This is where someone is overflowing traffic to a specific site to make the site crashing, because off too much traffic. This happens every day to hundreds of websites. The problem with this, is the fact that so many businesses don’t ever realize that they are under a ddos attack. And, these businesses are losing money by the hour that the system is down.

Is ddos really illegal?

Because there are so many people and hackers that are doing ddos, so many people are wondering if it’s really illegal. The fact is that it is illegal and a hacker or person responsible for a ddos, can have some serious trouble or even jail time in certain countries.

But, you might ask why people are doing ddos, if it’s illegal. This is simply to make sure that the competition is down for a couple of days, or to ensure that a company is losing so much money that they should shut down and close. Clients that doesn’t get a good service for an online business is also likely to pay someone to do ddos to the website. The effects of a ddos can really be devastating to a company, and if the company isn’t strong, it can cause the company to close down or to lose a lot of money. Even, if ddos is illegal, there are people doing it each and every day.

More and more companies are starting to see the risk of ddos, and even if ddos is illegal, there are still people and hackers doing it on a daily basis. The problem is that is’ hard to find the culprit responsible for the ddos. And, it can take a company days to get it sorted out and to function normally again. It is important to make sure that if you have an online business that you’re protected against ddos.
