Some International statistics for you -
72% of all new Internet subscriptions are Mobile Internet (either mobile broadband or mobile phone with Internet access)
Emerging Internet countries with massive Mobile Internet growth include, India, South Amercia, Africa.

Chille saw 6x growth of total Internet subcsribers in first 9 months of their 3G deployment. The growth was typically urban areas.

The developed world are not being left out, and iPhone is worthwhile sitting up and doing something about, why?
1. Over 60% of all mobile web visitors are from an iPhone
2. AppStore is a marketing channel - "There is an App for that" drives users to search for apps.
3. The number of downloads in AppStore is more than 10 times bigger than downloads from iTunes!
