Get a snap-shot of where your 3 best candidates are.

In an ideal world an Employer would open an application, input their job description and candidate requirements, press “Go” and it would produce a map with the 3 best candidate matches, their CVs, current locations and contact numbers.

Though it sounds great, there are some problems with this model: candidates would need to give their permission to become involved – some of the best ones may not and someone would need to approach and recruit the candidate – it’s not always that easy. So, much as Employers might like the idea of a cheap and straight-forward solution it’s not as simple as that.

There is a way to achieve this however, which is permission based – including passive candidates and uses a tried and tested delivery process - Recruitment Consultants. They become the oil in this engine.

Is this a new model that Recruitment Consultants should explore and make their own before Facebook and LinkedIn do it?

I get the point of where you are going with this post David, but it did make me stop and wonder which (if) any ATS developers out there have begun to incorporate location-based functionality into their products.
