What am I thankful for? Lot’s of things including a satisfying job, great colleagues and the opportunity to surround myself with the kind of people in this community…..but my 12 year old grandson wrote about the most important things in my life. The heart of everything that inspires me to success in business.

He is writing his bio for a school project. It’s a school-year long effort and he just got to the part about his mom, my daughter’s heritage. I loved it and I’m so thankful that this is how he looks at our family:

My great grandparents were from Italy and immigrated to the United States....and that's how the Italian side of my family began.
My Mom's side is a very typical Italian family because they love their family and traditions. We always have parties and there is always pasta. Any occasion is a big occasion; there is always a bunch of relatives over. They are the happiest when there are people around. They are also hard workers that are loyal. I am only part Italian but I still like to eat everything they like to eat. They are a very loving and strong family. Everyone is one big happy family

………..this is where I come from. How could I not be thankful?
