SmartRecruiters’ free, SaaS-based social recruiting platform simplifies hiring process; Company opens new San Francisco headquarters
San Francisco, April 19, 2012 – SmartRecruiters today launched the “Got Jobs?” Campaign designed to help create one million jobs in the U.S. by simplifying the hiring process while celebrating the heroes who are hiring new employees despite today’s difficult economic times. More than 12.7 million Americans are unemployed, yet according to Bersin and Associates, 80 percent of businesses report difficulty hiring, and 3.5 million U.S. jobs are currently left unfilled. If these positions were filled, the unemployment rate in the U.S. would be an estimated three percentage points lower than what it is today.
“We live in an increasingly connected world. Hiring should be fast, easy and social; not lengthy, painful and expensive like it is today,” said SmartRecruiters Founder and CEO Jerome Ternynck. “Through the Got Jobs? Campaign, we and our partners are seeking to make it easier than ever before for companies to hire, grow their businesses and strengthen the economy. We are laser focused on creating one million U.S. jobs. We welcome everyone to join our Got Jobs? crusade and the Zero Unemployment Movement.”
The Got Jobs? Campaign arms businesses with SmartRecruiters’ free, SaaS-based social recruiting platform. With just a couple of clicks, businesses can create job postings, broadcast them on more than 100 leading free and paid job boards (like LinkedIn and CareerBuilder), promote them through their social networks on Facebook and Twitter, track applicants and manage feedback. Ultimately, this leads to hiring the best candidate faster.
Making Hiring Easier
Employers recognize that hiring is difficult and are still looking for the right solution to make it easier and more efficient. From private employers to the federal government, employers report an average time-to-hire between 13 and 15 weeks. By streamlining the hiring process, SmartRecruiters helps job creators shorten the time it takes to fill an open position significantly – often to as few as three weeks. Twelve thousand businesses have created more than 35,000 jobs using SmartRecruiters’ social recruiting software since it became available last year.
“Posting a job took two minutes, and I saw more qualified applicants than I have ever seen before,” said Sandy Lewis, vice president of human resources at Advanced Liquid Logic. “I was able to reduce my time-to-hire to just three weeks.” Within weeks of implementing SmartRecruiters, Advanced Liquid Logic filled 14 new positions and expects to employ an additional 35 new hires by the end of 2012.
Celebrating Job Creators
In addition to making hiring easier, the Got Jobs? Campaign honors the people, business owners and managers who are creating jobs. In recognition of those job creators, SmartRecruiters created the “I Hired” Badge. The “I Hired” Badge can be displayed on a company’s website or Facebook profile and represents to its fans and followers that the business has created a job in 2012. This social campaign encourages the public to consider whether a company is driving our economy forward by asking a simple question: “Got Jobs?”
New Company Headquarters
SmartRecruiters also announced the opening of its new company headquarters in the heart of San Francisco. Supplementing its existing offices in Krakow, Poland, the new headquarters reflects the company’s growth and its roots as a San Francisco startup.
“I did not expect SmartRecruiters to grow this fast,” added Ternynck. “The rapid expansion we’re seeing in our customer base shows there are a lot of businesses that want to create jobs, but could use some help hiring.”
