I agree, I think SAAS ATS systems are the way to go. The last two systems I've used, www.cbizsoft.com and www.pcrecruiter.com which is my current ATS are both available as a web based version, which is great as I don't have to worry about loss of data if my system crashes and I can log onto my ATS from any computer at any time.

SaaS solutions will also finally enable technology providers to start to create an integrated Human Capital Supply Chain environment where your HRIS + ATS + VMS + Staffing Suppliers are using SaaS software solutions from the same vendor. Check out this new concept at w and let me know what you think of this new and exciting concept.

Tim I think webservices and widespread analytic suites are going to combine to make SaaS vendors across functions less effective than easily realized mashups with whichever SaaS point vendors are best positioned for each firm in each area. The cost and speed to use of integrations is going down every day, plus installed software still makes a lot of sense for technically well endowed organizations.
