How to source on the lesser known sites!! Pipl
Pipl is a comprehensive people search tool that can show you a lot of information about people.
However sometimes doing it form within the tool can be hard and frustrating. Pipl is well known
in the community and some have tried to source in it. Well to do this without worry you need go
no further than into your bag of tricks and pull out an old tried and true tool, called x-raying.
So to source within Pipl you simply need to create an x-ray string, like the one below.
site:pipl.com java developer site:pipl.com/n/ java developer
If you run the strings above in google you will get the results below, mind you both strings work and will give slightly different results
Now keep in mind you will see some great info that will be more than enough to cross reference in Linkedin or other social sites to find the rest of the info.
If you need more info on X-raying see my blog post http://www.recruitingblogs.com/profiles/blogs/seeing-what-is-really...
Next week we will have a special post for the 4th and then we will get back to our series!
