I need a favor.

So, I talk about it all the time. The path to real success in recruiting and talent management is data points - figuring out a formula that works, benchmarking then making incremental improvements. It seems pretty simple and when it comes to selling widgets, sure - that works.

But when it comes to measuring people, there's so much more at play. We're not statisticians or research analysts so inevitably, we can miss the bigger messages and ideas. We can take a number at face value and miss the lesson.

Now, if I knew how to do that - I would be making a lot more money. I just report on the data. But I do know a guy that's making sense of thousands of data points - Kyle Lagunas from Lighthouse Research & Advisory  and he's going to figure it out.

Here's the deal. I need your input on this survey: Modern Measures of Success in Talent Acquisition.

With all of this information, Kyle is going to figure out answers to questions we're always writing about and problems you're trying to solve.  His research will...

  • Identify the most commonly used metrics for measuring performance and program effectiveness - both of overall recruiting efforts, and of specific functions of modern talent acquisition AND
  • Evaluate how these metrics are being tracked and to what end.
If you can answer those questions, take the survey. Help us change the world of recruiting by mapping the data that matters.
If you're not the best person to answer the questions, I hope you'll consider forwarding this survey to your talent leadership team.
