Today is not about business. Today, more than any day before us, the message cannot be about business.
The people of MY HR are made up of parents first, professionals second. We are a busy staffing firm in CT not far from Newtown and we know all too painfully that today our message cannot be about business.
Today must be about 20 tiny souls and 6 selfless heroes. It must be about first responders who upon discovering unspeakable horror carried on saving and shielding survivors from images that would undoubtedly haunt them for the rest of their lives.
But we will not let the horror be the message. It must be about the humble community of Newtown who is working tirelessly to save each other, to shelter its people from further devastation and who is showing the world that it will not be characterized by the immorality cast upon it, but by the humanity rising among the ashes bringing the hope of a brighter future.
The only successful business MY HR will realize today will be the business of remembering those lost and giving compassion for those affected. We will be inspired by a community who is lighting the way for us all to be a little kinder, more grateful and with a unified purpose to ensure that while evil may continue to exist, it does not now nor will it ever win the day.
