DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Providing initial application support to a financial services user community in a high touch customer facing capacity; (2) Acting as the initial ‘first responder’ to any technical application or system errors that occur; (3) Troubleshooting through resolution of issues related to configuration, testing, releases, installations, and monitoring of mission critical applications to include performing system and network troubleshooting and resource optimization; (4) Escalating unresolved issues quickly and effectively to the second tier technical team for resolution; and the respective back end systems


Must have a verifiable bachelor’s degree. This is NOT a flexible requirement.

2 years of STRONG/CURRENT application support in a MISSION CRITICAL environment with a high touch user community.

2 years of STRONG/CURRENT hands on skill with UNIX and LINUX to include excellent skill with awk, sed, regular expressions, and STRONG/CURRENT scripting language with Perl, UNIX shell, Python, etc.

2 years of STRONG/CURRENT hands on SQL as it relates to application support.

2 years of Windows administration is STRONGLY preferred.

2 years of support C++ based applications is STRONGLY preferred.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT hands experience with version and revision control practices and procedures.

MUST have EXCELLENT technical troubleshooting skills and OUTSTANDING customer facing skills with an attitude of exceeding expectations.

MUST have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be crisply articulate.

MUST be able to work and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

MUST be a results focused team player who is able to adapt and be as flexible as the situation warrants.

Pluses: Global trading application support. Global trading system administration.
