DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Performing UNIX/LINUX systems administration to include: Performance monitoring, performance tuning, testing, configuring/ installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, etc. in this mission critical global enterprise environment; (2) Supporting applications and systems used by the global organization and providing technical resolution to hardware and software issues as they arise; (3) Deploying new hardware and software systems, performing database research, and applying patches and performing OS and application up-grades on existing systems; (4) Working closely with various other technical groups, third party vendors, and elements of the user community to the executive management level.

REQUIRED:

An undergraduate degree is mandatory for this position, with a strong preference for a technical degree (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.). THIS IS NOT A FLEXIBLE REQUIREMENT.

2 years of STRONG/CURRENT UNIX/LINUX administration to include: performance monitoring, performance tuning, configuration/installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, etc.

STRONG/CURRENT proficiency with UNIX scripting languages such as Unix shell, Perl, awk, etc.

STRONG/CURRENT experience with version and revision control practices and procedures.

MUST have excellent communication skills with complete ability to be articulate both orally and verbally in English.

Must be a results focused team player who is flexible with a strong desire to learn and continue personal development.

Pluses: Brokerage or trading industry experience. Global banking. High transaction environment experience.

Undergraduate degree.
